Welcome to A Walk in the Woods, Environmental Education Company.  We come to you with fun and educational hands-on animal science programs. We want children to discover nature by using their senses!  To schedule a program, call 704-436-9048.

Hands-on science activities with animals & artifacts

Meet our Animal Ambassadors:  Box Turtles, Snakes, Starfish, Tarantulas, Iguanas,  Snapping Turtles, Hissing Cockroaches, A Blue and Gold Macaw, Giant Millipedes, Saltwater Fish, Freshwater Fish and Tortoises.  Each educational science program has several hands-on natural artifacts with many rare and endangered items from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

We have programs on Reptiles, Sea Turtles, Insects, Tropical Rainforests, Coral Reefs and Sharks, Wetlands, Bats, Snakes, NC Wildlife and other educational themes.  There are over 20 animal programs to choose from. Click on the Environmental Program link above for more information.

Mobile animal programs for kids and adults

We provide children science programs for elementary schools, preschools, afterschool programs,  home school, camps, scouts, 4-H, libraries and birthday parties.  We also have environmental education programs for adult and senior groups.  Find out how we can make your next special event, indoors or outdoors, an unforgettable experience.
